We’re excited to introduce you to our latest guest judge,
Wendy Hyde, from The Shabby Nest.
Wendy’s decorating and craft projects have been featured all over blogland, as well as in several other media outlets that might ring a bell….like Better Homes and Gardens, Apartment Therapy, and HGTV. Here’s a little more about Wendy and The Shabby Nest, in her own words:
I started writing my blog as a creative outlet. And now The Shabby Nest has evolved into my very own little corner of the blogosphere. I like to refer to it as a Family Lifestyle blog where I share my love of home decor, DIY projects, entertaining and a little bit of style thrown in for good measure. I have a bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising. But my true passion has always been and still is interior decorating. So I decided to pursue that passion in earnest, and I am currently a student with Sheffield School of Interior Design. One of my readers once told me that I have an eye for pretty. I like to believe that is true and I love to share with my readers how they can make their homes a haven without breaking the bank!
Besides sharing many ideas on her blog, Wendy also offers e-consultations for clients who request her design expertise.
The perfect judge for this week’s challenge, Wendy definitely knows her stuff when it comes to Painted Walls with Graphic Shapes. Take a look at some of the designs she’s installed in her own home:
A damask wall in the mudroom.
A customized work of graphic art.
White striped boys’ room.
We have to admit to having a crush on Wendy’s mudroom. It takes real talent to make doing laundry look appealing.
And could this sock monkey room be any more perfect for two boys?
In addition to her decorating expertise, Wendy offers some terrific tutorials. Some of our favorites happen to be
We’re thrilled that Wendy will be joining us this week at The CSI Project, and hope that all of you will visit The Shabby Nest this week to extend her a warm welcome!
