Custom Length Curtains{Cleverly Inspired}

Hi all! I am Tracie …author of Cleverly Inspired.  Here is a super easy way to make an inexpensive store bought curtain look a lot more custom. I bought these curtains on clearance at Target. I think they were maybe $7 each.

 The only trouble was they were about 18 inches too short. My solution was to buy one yard of fabric….cut it in half and sew it to the bottom of my curtains.

 I lined the back of the fabric…pinned it to the bottom of the curtain and sewed a straight stitch. It makes the curtains feel a bit more weighted at the bottom too!

  It is a really easy way to make some custom length curtains….without the expense :)

    I did this to curtains in my exercise room. It’s easy and looks like completely custom made drapes. I love your fabric with the brown.

    I’ve been thinking about doing this in my dining room– so glad to see how well it turned out! Love it! Thanks for sharing. :)

    This is an excellent idea. sheets or shower curtains gives you more yardage to do this job. Also the shower curtains has a soil resistant finish if you want to cover chairs or make pillows to add to the decor.
