Winners of the Yarn, Knitting and Crochet Projects

Hi there and welcome back to the CSI Project!

Again you made it a hard challenge to judge. So many great ideas!

I think this means the challenges need to get harder because you ladies are super talented.

You also very much impressed our guest judge, Allison, from A Glimpse Inside.

Here is what Allison said about her judging experience as a CSI judge,

“I so enjoyed being a judge here at The CSI Project. I was lucky enough to be the overall pick back in the summer of 2010 and have been in the top ten as well and it was so great to know that someone loved my projects as much as I did! I am definitely NOT a knitter or crocheter but I do love to work with yarn every now and then so I was so impressed while looking through all of your projects!! I just can’t imagine taking some needles (is that what they are called? lol) and yarn and creating the lovely creations that you all have submitted! SO IMPRESSED! I had a little trouble narrowing down the picks but I eventually did so here we go!”

All of Allison’s remarks are in italics.

#46 Airplane Baby Sweater from Nalle’s House.

This is just TOO CUTE! I can’t believe that she created this adorable little sweater using a few different patterns for her little boy. The colors are fantastic and that airplane is perfect! And how cute is that Little Pilot?!

# 3 Amigurumis from  Red Ted Art

All these little creatures and creations are awesome. Perfect toys for little one too!

#5 Knit Reindeer Beanie from I’m Topsy Turvy

Can I just say A-DOR-ABLE!! Love everything about this little beanie!

#26 Pottery Barn Knock Off Pillow from The Scap Shoppe Blog

Michele’s knock off is amazing! I can barely tell it isn’t the original. LOVELY!

#34 Crochet and Braid Scarf from One Dog Woof

I’ve never seen a scarf like this and I love how it looks! So fun and different!

#39 Pom Pom + Washi Tape Gift Tags from Two Shades of Pink

So fast and simple to make and they make the perfect statement on a gift! I just MAY steal this idea for Christmas next year! ;)

 #48 Snowman Blanket from I’m a Yarner

I would love to snuggle up under this blanket on a cold night with a mug of hot chocolate in my hand! Definitely worth the 5 year wait. Great job!

#53 Granny Square Birdhouse from Carolyn’s Homework

This little birdhouse is so cute! The bright colors make it so much cuter than the original!

#58 Market Bag from T-shirts from Dukes & Duchesses

I love that this is made out of old t-shirts! Such a great idea!

#70 Crochet Owl and Parrot Hats from Sunshine and Serendipity

Any little kid would look so adorable sporting one of these hats! And that Parrot… LOVE his eye patch! :)

#35 Crochet Noah’s Ark from A Beloved Tempest

This Noah’s Ark blanket is so cute! I love the different dimensions of all the animals and the ark. I would so use it as wall art instead of a blanket!

#25 Chic Glam Wreath  from The Scrap Shoppe Blog

I had to pick a yarn wreath. I love them!!!! I love that this one is so chic and glamorous. I have one just waiting to be made for St. Patrick’s day and I can’t wait to make it especially after seeing this one!!!

Help! I am knitting/crochet challenged (to say the least!). I am looking for a tutorial on how to crochet a border around a blanket. My friend gave me a christmas gift that I adore and I would love to make one. My friend said she would teach me but time is always a factor for both of us. Does anyone know where I might find an easy to follow step by step for such a task? The blanket is microfiber material with a double crochet boreder.
