DIY Snowflake Plate{The CSI Girl}

IMG_7970

Today I want to show you an easy handmade gift that is perfect for those homemade treats. They are also good for a winter themed dinner. This is easy….so easy. So, don’t blink.

For this, you will need:

~ A plain white plate

~ stencil or freehand

~ Paint or sharpies work well too

~ Preheated oven at 300 degrees

First, wash your plate well.

Grab your stencil and paint.

I used Martha Stewart’s Adhesive Stencils. I have said this before but I love, love these stencils. I highly recommend these for you. They make crafting easy and no more pesky tape for the stencils. No more sliding out of place either.

Get your own stencils. Click below to get more info on these stencils.

I had these cute snowflake stencil and knew I wanted a winter inspired plate.

Now, just paint over the stencil and let it sit for a minute.

Peel it off and you will have a beautiful design.

Now, put in your pre-heated oven for 30 minutes. When it comes out of the oven, it is safe to use. You can scrub them, wash them in a dish washer. All of that. So, go for it!

These would be so great with holiday treats on them or for a dinner party. I think everyday is a reason to use pretty plates so make them just because. Make every family dinner fun and these plates would be perfect!

Make this holiday season a crafty one!

Remember to create.share.inspire!

I did this with sharpies (not paint), and the sharpies are NOT dishwasher safe. I haven’t tried the paint..

Is there any particular kind of plate you have to use? Will any kind of plate from, for example, Walmart work?
