DIY Trash Can Ghost

I love easy and fast crafts!

I always say crafting doesn’t have to take a lot of time or a lot of money.

Just a lot of creativity and the passion to create!

I walked right past a wooden trash can at Hobby Lobby. It was sitting up and had 3 stacked with it. I knew it was a trash can but I saw a ghost.

I guess the Halloween spirit has taken over me!

With vinyl, paint, ribbon and a fake flower, I had a cute ghost!

I painted the trash can white and then sanded it down because I like to see the wood come through. I cute 3 oval shapes out of vinyl. You could use a cutting machine or just free hand. Then, for her sassy bow, I just took pieces of ribbon and glued them together. Added a flower from the Dollar Store and a button for the middle.

Because the scalloped edges of the trash can when you turn it upside down, I used a candlestick to prop up my ghost. I mean, the edges are what made me see a ghost to begin with so I needed that to be highlighted.

I paid $4.99 with a 40% off coupon for the wooden trash can and had everything else at home. So, this craft was under $5 to make.

By the way, download the Hobby Lobby app and you don’t even need to print the coupon. Easy!

She is sassy. She is Boo-tiful!

Oh, come on, you knew that play on words would come out sooner or later!

Isn’t she a cutie?

The cute Boo letters were a Target Dollar Spot find.

Sometimes crafting is like looking into the clouds. We see shapes and things in the clouds when we really look.

The same goes for crafting and creating. Really look at the items around you and create something new, unexpected even with them.

Let your imagination take over and create!

Always remember to Create, Share and Inspire!
