Winners of the Slipcover & Upholstery Challenge!

Talk about transformation!  It’s amazing what you did with fun fabric selections and creative techniques.  We really enjoyed seeing the before and after pictures of your upholstered and slipcovered furniture.

Our guest judge, Traci from Beneath My Heart, had her work cut out for her!

Here’s what Traci had to say about this week’s challenge:

“All of the entries were wonderful and it was very hard to choose.  I was most impressed by projects that really transformed a piece and made it look completely different.  Also, projects that turned out really beautiful and were well made.”

Let’s see which project was Traci’s favorite…..

#50 Slipcovered Family Room Couch from Edeenut Creates

Traci told us why this is her top pick:

“The winner stood out to me because she took an old worn out (fake) leather couch and turned it into a Pottery Barn inspired beauty!  She chose to slipcover it because she didn’t have the money to buy a new couch.  But she didn’t let that defeat her.  She used  a little ‘elbow grease’ and made her couch look like new!  I love that!”

And the top 10 projects this week are….

#5 Reupholstered Velvet Chair from Centsational Girl

#10 First Upholstery Project from Sew Rip Repeat

#16 Dropcloth Cover from  La Famille

#18 A Chair for a Lifetime from The Inspired Housewife

#25 Slipcovered Lounge Chair from  Adventures in Creating

#30 Parsons Chair Dropcloth Slipcover from Can’t Get Enough of {This Kind of Love}

#52 Wing Chair Redo from Yesterday Captured

#61 Dropcloth Covered Couch from Love of Family and Home
