Winners of the Crafting with left over Christmas Items Challenge

Hi and welcome back to the CSI Project!

Happy weekend too!

We are having so much fun in the forum. If you haven’t  registered, you may do so here.

You can introduce yourself, get to know other bloggers and even gain new followers. You can also share ideas and projects as well as discuss craft topics or ask questions.

The CSI Project’s goal for this year is to become more of a craft community so that we can gather virtually to support one another in our crafty endeavors. There will also be blogging advice and tip in the forum so that you can make you blogging dreams come true too.

So, here we go, onto the very first winner of 2012!

Our guest judges, the sisters from The Letter 4, had a tough time choosing just 11 of you!

Here is what they had to say about their experience as guest judges:

This was so fun being a guest judge and going through so many creative ideas! We loved being able to, although it was hard to narrow it down 😉 Amazing job fellow crafters!

                                                                                                                 – The Letter 4 Girls, Janae, Jade, Jamie, Julianna

Here are the winners, starting with the #1 Project. The judge’s comments are in italics.

#11 sugar cubes made with leftover candy canes from Carolyn’s Homework

We always have left over candy canes! And this looks so good I might do this before they become “leftover” candy canes!

#20  Decorative chalkboard tin from Serenity Now

Loved this, we basically love anything covered in chalkboard paint.

#13 winter mantle from Country Chic Cottage

This mantle is so fun and festive without looking christmasy, The trees in the jars are fabulous!

#17  New Years Wreath from Imparting Grace

We also hate taking down christmas decor, but this idea made us excited to put up the winter/new year decorations!

#1 Doll house made out of cardboard boxes from Red Ted Art’s Blog

Definitely have a ton of cardboard boxes after christmas, and this is perfect to make another activity/toy for the kiddos!

#32 Winter Wreath from Creatively Living Oustide the Box

We have a weakness for wreaths and this is just beautiful!

#28  Tree skirt to table runner from Burton Avenue

This idea is genius! We love how it turned out!

#18 Tinsel Golf Wreath from Fancy Frugal Life

Such a cute recycled craft to make an awesome decor edition to a birthday party!

#14 Christmas card boxes from The Wicker House

We think this is the perfect thing to do with all those christmas cards!

#27 Snowmen ornaments from Gluesticks

Like we said, we hate taking down christmas decor, these cute snowman globes lets us keep just a little bit 🙂

#8 Carboard Paint from Reading Confetti

Another great activity for the kiddos to do with leftover christmas cardboard. We’ll be sure to put down the newspaper! 😉

#9 Recycled Christmas cards turned into a plaque from Sew, Rip, Repeat

This is such a good idea to always have new Christmas decor each year and a very inexpensive, crafty way to do it. I also love the one with the boy and snowman because it could be used in winter decor after the holidays. Great job!!!
