Winners of the {Projects you have pinned and done} Challenge

This week’s challenge was awesome for 2 reasons.

1) There is so much more  inspiration and now crafts on my to do list

2) There was a whole lot of pinning going on.

You “wow”- ed us and our judge of the week, Erin from Simply Frugal Mom.

Here is what she said about her CSI Project experience:

“I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed guest judging this week. I loved seeing all of the amazing projects you have been inspired by Pinterest to create. I pinned many of your projects to my own boards for future inspiration. I had such a hard time picking a winner, but in the end I kept coming back to one project that stuck in my mind.”

Let’s see who Erin picked as our winners!

Judge’s remarks in italics.

#7 Yoda Silhouette from Toile in the Family

I love this project because it embodies the awesomeness of Pinterest. Molly didn’t create an exact replicate of the pin that inspired her project, she used that as the jumping off point to create something that worked perfectly for her son’s room. And she did it for cheap! I can think of a million ways to use this technique. Great job!

#68 Painted Closet Doors from Primitive & Proper

This was my second favorite project. I love, love, love this idea! I’m obsessed with chalkboard so this is right up my alley. My house is full of boring sliding doors and I’m already brainstorming ways I can take this idea and use it all over the house.

#17 No Sew Fabric Scrap Tutu from Designed by Dawn Nicole

You had me a No Sew! As someone who doesn’t sew, I love finding projects involving fabric that I could actually accomplish. Now I have a reason to rummage through the scrap bins at the fabric store.

#27 Quinoa Mac & Cheese from Couponing and Cooking

Quinoa = Yum. Mac & Cheese = Double Yum. Quinoa Mac & Cheese = Must.have.NOW! I have nothing more to say except this is already on our menu for next week.

# 24 Pinteresting Tree from Gone Walkabout 2

I have several button projects pinned to my boards on Pinterest and I loved this interpretation of that idea. The project is made even more fabulous by using a painting that Teri did herself. Just lovely!

#47 Wreath Made of Heart Punches from Our Family Journey

I have a TON of scrapbook paper and since I have turned to digital scrapbooking, I’m always looking for ways to use it. I absolutely love the look of this wreath. And I can think of several other ways to use the adorable flowers as well.

#52 Fall Monogram Wreath from Bowl full of Cherry’s

Another use for fabric that doesn’t involve sewing! I think I’m going to make one of these for the 4th of July. Even better, Kristi worked on this with her Pinterest group, a group of friends who get together and work on Pinterest projects. Who wants to be in my Pinterest group?

#30 DIY Planter Box from Urban Hoot

This project makes a big impact without a lot of time or money. I love the sweet jars used to fill it and can think of a ton of other ways you could use this box.

#41 Silver Spoon Sunburst Mirror from The Night Garden Design

Sunburst mirrors are so “in” right now and I love this take on that idea. It’s vintage and modern at the same time. And I want it!

#67 Pinwheels for Papercrafts from Whimsical Words

Again, I can think of so many uses for these pinwheels. I love the card that she created and her tutorial is great.

#86 Tug Boat Card from Maggie Muggins Designs

I loved this project because she took her inspiration from a pillow on Pinterest and turned it into a card! Great way to think outside the box and the card is just gorgeous.

Now, the CSI Choice of the week is…..

#32 Stamped Silk Flower Pins from Rook No. 17

 These are amazing! This is a must see tutorial. So “Pin” worthy and So “Pin”teresting {He He}
