I have been inspired by all the Outdoor Projects.
I have spent so much time and money inside my house that I am now turning my efforts outside to start the beautification projects. So thank you ladies for sharing your outdoor spaces with us. Laurie from Tip Junkie is compiling her favorites and we will announce the winners tomorrow. I wanted to introduce you to next week’s challenge.
Yard Sale/Tag Sale Makeovers
So basically our challenge to you is to show us your refabs from anything that has been twice loved. It could be from a thrift store, a yard sale, a hand-me-down, a church rummage sale, etc.

I love thrifting and yard sale shopping. I love the freedom that comes when you are a DIY’er. You no longer look at color but more shape and function. Any good DIY’er can look beyond the ugly fabric, dated hardware, knicks, scratches and scuffs and see potential.

Here is my latest yard sale makeover. I started with a couple of $.50 spice racks that you can find at nearly every Goodwill or yard sale. Yes, these spice racks are dated and ugly. But let’s think outside the box. These are a great storage option for craft paints. It is only limited by the color of spray paint I choose!
After a little sanding, some primer and some Green Apple Rustoleum Spray Paint I have myself some adorable paint storage.

I hope to add two more of these racks to the left. Believe it or not I still have some more paints that need a home.
So we will see you next week as you vie for the top spot and that beloved Top Project button.
