One of my all time favorite bloggers is in the CSI house this week as our special guest judge…..Chris from Just a Girl! Chris was one of the very first blogs I got hooked on. She is real and honest and funny and I LOVE that about her. She really is “just a girl”, like all the rest of us! I’m sure that is why she has such a devoted following and why we come back for more every single day! I think Chris says it best…..
“The title “Just a Girl” was easy for me. I think many women take on many roles nowadays. I’m a wife, a mom, a professional, a student, a friend, and on and on and on. Essentially, however, I’m just a girl who loves to create, decorate, and inspire-ate. This blog allows me to share all those things with you. It’s mine. Just for me. And I like it that way.”
Whether she is hand painting beautiful tree murals on her daughter’s bedroom walls, making over her dining room with board and batten, or fashioning wreaths out of faux fur……it’s all golden. Seriously, everything this woman does is gorgeous and absolutely flawless! Can I be Chris when I grow up???
The other thing that had me at hello was her love/obsession with organizing and labeling anything that doesn’t move! She.is.my.hero. For reals people, whose laundry room cupboard looks like that? LOVE it! Oh, and did I mention that she is a furniture painting guru? Well, she is. If you haven’t checked her out by now, you are plain and simple, missing out on pure fabulousness. Just a Girl is a daily staple for me, just like caffeine. I know I can always find a big dose of inspiration and a heaping helping of humor when I visit.
