Next Week’s Challenge…..Party Ideas

Next week’s challenge is all about fun, fun, fun, and more….FUN! We are so excited about our “PaRtY IdEaS” challenge. I can only imagine all the great ideas and inspiration our readers have to share with us!

One of my favorite things about parties is coming up with creative new ideas for gift giving! This week we have two parties to attend….one boy and one girl.  I didn’t have much time or money, so I had to get creative. I ended up coming up with these adorable birthday buckets….made out of empty food storage cans! I pulled out my scrapbook supplies and got busy. I used 2 sheets of coordinating scrapbook paper to cover the can, cut a cardstock label and some vinyl letter stickers with my cricut, tied it on with a pretty pink ribbon and voila…a cute customized birthday bucket.

The best part……it was FREE!

I have all these empty cans from our food storage sitting in my pantry. And for some reason, it never occured to me to use them for something cute like this. HELLO?

The boy one was really fun to put together. I’ve been holding onto this adorable froggy paper for so long, that my boys have outgrown it. I was super excited to be able to use it to it’s fullest “cute” potential!

I ended up using a bucket with a handle for this one, because I happened to have an extra one lying around. These are still pretty easy to cover, just be careful to fit the paper around the bucket’s handle. I used mod podge to attach the paper to the bucket, but you could also use double stick tape or another permanent adhesive. I prefer the mod podge because you can slide the paper around until you get it to fit just right.

I filled the boy bucket with army men, noise putty {flarp}, a glow sword, a box of gumballs and some assorted candy…..all from the dollar store. The girl bucket got a Barbie movie, a pack of gum, and some candy. You can totally customize these to fit the personality of the birthday child. Use your imagination and the possibilities are endless!

So, get those creative juices flowing and be ready to come back next Tuesday to show off your best party ideas

Tomorrow we’ll announce the winners of our “Fall” challenge along with the winner of the giveaway! Be sure to come back and check it all out!
