If you’ve never heard of Ballard Designs, you are seriously missing out on some gorgeous eye candy and loads of inspiration for great projects! We thought with all of the wonderful inspiration flowing from the pages of this catalog, it would be the perfect theme for next week’s challenge. I decided to feature some of my favorite items they offer, as well as some of my own knock-off projects I’ve tried in the past! The “Laundry” sign above is one I’ve seen a few times floating around blogland…..love, love, love it!
This rope doorstop tied into a monkey’s fist knot is lovely, as well as functional.
Gorgeous burlap wrapped bottles.
I’m a sucker for anything with crowns….especially these vintage looking ones!
Love this chic take on your average magnetic board!
Anything with quatrefoil is soooooooooooo hot right now!
These gorgeous wall plaques were one of the first things I fell in love with from Ballard’s. Unfortunately, the price was not as lovable. I decided I could probably make my own knock-off version for pennies. Here is what I came up with……..
Some beautiful Amy Butler scrapbook paper and leftover wood plaques from a previous project was all it took to make my own lovely set of wall plaques.
These “Create” plaques are DIVINE! As soon as I laid eyes on them, I absolutely knew I needed some. And at the low price of just $49 a piece, they could be mine. Hahahahahahahahah…..isn’t that just hysterical? Once again, I decided to try and re-create them on a shoestring budget. I used wooden embroidery hoops, muslin for the center, and cut out the letters with my cricut….easy and extremely inexpensive. I’d say I saved myself over $280! Not too shabby.
