What amazing Ballard-inspired projects!
It’s so fun to go through the projects and see all of the ingenious ideas!
Thank you everyone who linked up and who came over to see the Ballard Projects!
Lorie from Be Different…Act Normal was our fabulous guest judge and she loved your projects!!
Here are her favorites:
#34 — Medallion Wall Plaque @ Money & Maple Syrup
This plaque was a beautiful replica of the original, but since she added the applique instead of just painting the flourish on the bottom it added a little dimension that the original didn’t have. There is nothing better than a knock off that is better than the original!
Here are the Top 10 projects {in no particular order}:
#28 — Theater Pillows @ Sassy Sanctuary
Love them. Want them. Can’t wait until I have a media room to put them in!
#31 — Ballard Boxes @ Nikki’s Nifty Knacks
I am a sucker for silhouettes and the fact that you can hide stuff in these storage boxes is such a plus! I am all about hiding the ugly inside something cute!
#39 — Linen Bag Holder @ Clever Penguin
Such a great knock off. (Wish I could sew!!) And it is the prettiest thing I have ever seen used to store grocery bags in my entire life!
#47 — Pear Knock Off @ Pretty Handy Girl
She could have painted these white and they would have been great. But she went so many steps beyond this with the techniques that she used. They are beautiful!
#50 — Ornament Tree @ Finding Home
Such a clever idea and I just love the materials that she used for the tree. Add to it the fun ornaments that you get to hang on it and it is fabulous!
#51 — Butterfly Plaque @ Craftberry Bush
This is probably the first one that I am going to attempt to do myself. Butterflies are close to my heart and I have the perfect place for this plaque in my home!
#52 — Ballard Birds @ Keen Inspirations
The birds in this project were so great. SO cute! But it is really the sticks that they are standing on that I love! I actually have some ideas on how I am going to implement them into some holiday decor!! So excited to have such a great tutorial on how to make them!
#48 — Sunburst Mirror @ Dwellings By DeVore
I don’t love sunburst mirrors. I will probably never have one in my house. But there was just something about this one (and the fact that it was made so inexpensively but didn’t look it) that I really liked.
#14 — Wine Barrel Plaques @ The Gathering Place Design
I love so much about these! The different textures and colors and styles of all three and the great transformation from some unknown garage sale find to three great pieces to display in her home!
#38 — Bulletin Board @ Mod Vintage Life
I loved all of the gorgeous bulletin boards that were shared, but I am a sucker for color and great shapes and this one had tons of both!
Beckie’s Pick:
#13 — Topiary @ Stories of a House
Amanda’s Pick:
#20 — Burlap Laundry Sign @ Domestically Speaking
Jen’s Pick:
#53 — Quatrefoil Card Tree @ Finding Home
