Winners of the Beachy Vignette and Projects Challenge!

Now that we’ve seen the projects from this challenge, we can feel the sun on our faces and the sand between our toes. Seashells, sand dollars, buoys, bottles, and more….what a wonderful way to celebrate the best parts of summer–with a trip to the seashore!

Visiting from Random Thoughts of a Supermom, our guest judge, Kelli Wilson, felt the same way. She told us:

“After looking through more than 70 Beachy Vignettes and Projects, I’m kind of in the mood for a trip to the beach! There were so many fun and inspiring projects linked up, and more than a few of them got added to my To Do List.”

Let’s see which projects Kelli chose as the winners of our challenge. (She offered sweet comments about each of the winners, which we’ve included in italics.)

#9 Beach Themed Mantle from Crafty. Scrappy, Happy

I love that she took a basically unwanted piece of furniture and turned it into a beautiful mantle. I love that she placed the two doors on either side of the mantle to make it feel larger. The oars, the framed sea shells, and the blue mason jars all work together to make this a really great beachy mantle.

I love this room because instead of the usual blues that most people associate with the beach, she used a beautiful combination of coral and white.

#62 Coastal Style Master Bedroom from 3 Meadow Lake Cottage

This room had a very serene beach feel, and the personalized oars over the bed are my favorite part of the room.

#5 Beachy Summer Mantle from A Diamond in the Stuff

I love the vintage feel that this mantle had and the fun pop of yellow from the pennants and picture frame.

#19 Beachy Mudroom from The Thriftress

I love that she took a room that is a mostly functional space and turned it into a really pretty, nautical feeling space with just a few simple additions.

#35 A Summer Mantle from Cleverly Inspired

I really like the large black and white print above her mantle, but my favorite part of her display were the really cute molded footprints.

#3 Seaside Mementos from Sweet Something Design

I love the way she mixed metal, fabric, sea shells, and photographs all in one beautiful beachy display.

#16 Seashell Hide and Seek from Avery and Winslow

This is such a fun activity to keep the kiddos busy during those hot summer days. I know my boys would have a blast with this.

#48 Summer Wreath from Finding Home

The circles of twine gave this wreath an awesome nautical feel, and I love that she used a square wreath form.

#34 Driftwood Mirror from Michelle Paige

I love that she took her inspiration from a catalog and then made her own version for a fraction of the cost of the inspiration piece.

#11 Sea Inspired Living Room from Centsational Girl

I love all the great little touches of beachy things all around this room. My favorite things are the fun little fish on the mantle that her kiddos named.

The CSI Girls picked their favorite projects from the challenge, too.
