This week at The CSI Project, we’re getting ready for the Sewing Challenge. Our guest judge for this challenge is Jamielyn Nye from I {Heart} Nap Time.
We’re just as thrilled as we can be to have Jamielyn here to spend the week with us! I {Heart} Naptime is one of the blogosphere’s favorite craft blogs, thanks to Jamielyn and her inspired handiwork.
Jamielyn would be the first to tell you that her family is very important to her, and that they are the source of much of that inspiration—you’ll find great ideas for feeding, clothing, teaching, and entertaining toddlers at I {Heart} Naptime, like this cute handprint valentine.
A mother of two adorable little ones and wife to a soon-to-be-doctor, Jamie is a busy homemaker who loves to create decorating magic on a budget.
Jamielyn tells us,
“I started my blog as a creative outlet in a little bliss during my day called nap time. I. LOVE. Nap time. I love creating. I love thrifting and thinking of all the possibilities that can be, from an old treasure. I’m all about decorating on a budget. I love to bake… and eat lots of cookies. I am learning to sew, and enjoying the process. I love trying new things, and I’m not afraid of messing up the first (or second) time around. A few of my favorite ‘tools’ are my Silhouette, spray paint, my sewing machine, and my beloved glue gun.”
As a self-confessed sewing newbie, we know that Jamielyn can understand and appreciate all the effort and pricked fingers (and naughty words) that have gone into the making of your projects for the Sewing Challenge. We love that Jamielyn creates all kinds of neat things with her sewing machine, not just clothing. She’s proof that a sewing machines aren’t just for people who want to quilt or make their own clothing. Jamielyn is also evidence that a lot can get accomplished during naptime!
