Simple Neighbor Christmas Treat{Dukes and Duchesses}

I’m Randi from Dukes and Duchesses and I’m so happy to be guest posting again at The CSI Project.  It’s truly one of my favorite sites.

This time around I’m sharing a simple neighbor gift.

We always take a little homemade treat to our neighbors at Christmas time and I like something that’s cute but easy to throw together.  This year I’m delivering cute containers filled with snack mix.  The labels pull it all together.

You’ll need five ingredients for the mix:  rice chex {if you’re cheap like I am, the store brand is great}, mini marshmallows, jumbo chocolate chips or chunks, mini oreos, and mint M&M’s.

Mix together 6 cups rice chex, 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows, 1 1/2 cups mini oreos, 1 cup jumbo chocolate chips, and 1 cup mint M&M’s.  Doesn’t it look festive?

To package the mix, shop around for some cute containers.  Target always has fun little seasonal cans and containers and I found these clear containers in the Dollar Spot this year.

You can make your own tags or print these ones {download here}.

Stick the labels to the side of the container, wrap in red and white twine, and there you go … a simple treat for the neighbors!

Thanks for letting me share here today … I hope you’ll pop over and visit me in my corner of the blogosphere.

~ Thanks, Randi. This is a clever idea and yummy, I might add.

Thanks for saying we are one of your favorite craft sites.

Shucks, I am blushing.

Go say hi to Randi and her fabulous blog.
