Hi and welcome back to The CSI Project.
We have a great week planned and some wonderful handmade ornament tutorials for you. And you count on a great link party where you can share your creations.
After seeing this store, I knew that this creative lady would make the perfect guest judge and she even agreed to sponsor the giveaway this week.
Meet Susan
She is the owner and artist behind, For Pete’s Sake Pottery
I asked Susan to tell us here at The CSI Project about herself and this is what she said.
“I have been a crafter / painter my entire life. I remember making “designer” lunch bags for my little sister one Christmas. So cute! She was the only second grader with hand drawn and colored brown bags. I went on to study art at the University of Louisville. I majored in Graphic Design, took an internship, and decided it was not for me. UGH! My parents has just paid for my 4 year degree and I was going to go into retail???? Oh, what a bitter pill to swallow. After several years of marriage to my best friend and husband, I became pregnant. My inner artist was dying to get out. Oh how I wanted to paint a mural in the baby’s room. With a 60+ hour work week in Holiday retail I could not get it done. Cue our son Peter, the one that woke the artist in me, was born. Yay! Within 10 months of his birth I was at home painting to make extra money. Turns out Peter is our one and only Gift from God. He has been my little buddy painting along side of me for almost 14 years now. My Dear Sweet husband, also named Peter, has been a vital and supportive element to the success of For Pete’s Sake Pottery. The love and support he has shown me through the years is amazing.
So, for Pete’s sake, I am an artist. I love to paint. I have painted in any and all mediums and continue to learn and grow. Stop in my Facebook Fan page for a ton of photo’s of items I have done through the years. Stop in my etsy show for a selection of current work. See something I made 10 years ago? Message me and I will make it for you.”
She is so great and to help a family in my church who recently lost their baby tragically, she made them an ornament to remind them of their son.
Susan is fun, creative and so generous.
