Hello! I am Rachel, and I’m ridiculously excited to be this week’s guest judge. Organizing is one of my “hobbies” and I can’t wait to see what ideas you all have in store!
My blog, Family Ever After, is my excuse for “continuing education.” I was a Family and Consumer Science Education in major in college, and I enjoy converting my every day living into a life of its own on the blog. Basically it’s a big mish mash of sewing, crafting, food, family, travel, gardening, clogging, pictures, my thoughts, and a link party on Friday night.
A bit more about me:
My husband I and grew up in South Dakota, and we have 2 daughters and a son. My family is everything to me! I’m very passionate about letting my kids “help” me do projects, and if it wasn’t that way, I’m sure my blog wouldn’t exist!
Here are a few of my favorite projects/things I’ve done:
Dressing up as Cinderella for my daughter’s summer party.
Sewing a full coverage nursing shawl for my sister. (Tutorial here).
Designing and sewing a few Halloween costumes for my daughters–
a rollie pollie.
Annie.
Baking banana lime coconut muffins.
Making bows for my girls.
Decorating!
Traveling.
Hosting Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties.
And taking pictures of it all!
The last thing I want to share is that I’m having a sewing competition on my blog!!!
It’s a spin off the show “Survivor” and is going to be loads of fun!
Anyone is welcome to enter (and you don’t need to have a blog).
Just click this logo on my blog to see the thread of posts so far.
Entries are being held through the whole month of February!
And they live… Family Ever After!
See you there!
