Challenge of the Week{Flower Challenge}

They say April showers  bring May flowers and as we go into May in just a few days, here at The CSI Project we wanted to celebrate flowers. All over blogland there are so many great flower tutorials.

How great is this balloon Daisy tutorial! I love these and can’t wait to make some.

Recently, I needed a thank you gift for a friend and I needed it fast. So much for planning! So, I ransacked my craft room and grabbed a blank canvas and then I had an idea.

I knew I wanted something with flowers but what kind? I needed a template. How about from a pepsi bottle that was headed for the trash. Have you ever noticed that the bottom looks like a flower?

Here is how I made my canvas art:

First, I covered my canvas in green paint.

Disclaimer: I am not an artist and far from it  but I did free hand the next step.

The next step was easy. I just dipped the bottle in paint and filled in where I wanted flowers. Easy and cute!

I added words to that I thought of that describe my friend. I added ribbon to hang it and a combo of 3 different pink ribbons to tie on. Just a small embellishment. There you have it! My easy and fast thank you gift using a soda bottle to make flowers.

Try it out! This would also be a great craft for the kiddos.

This week 3 great bloggers will share their flower projects with you and then it is YOUR turn to share. Come link up your flower projects and tutorials.

And you know we have fabulous giveaway planned.

I hope this week you will
