I love accessories but what girl doesn’t? Especially a crafty girl who loves to create her own accessories. I love your typical necklace, bracelet, ring but want to know my best accessory. It is not a ring or necklace. It’s this guy!
And the his accessory was only approved because it was Cinco De Mayo!
Since it is the end of the school year and you may be looking for a teacher’s gift. Why not make her an accessory that is teacher style! I made this cuff at the beginning of the school year as a teacher gift. It was really easy!
I had a plain metal cuff. I bought these a really long time ago and I am not sure where. I ordered online.
You will also need:
– pencils
– ribbon, 2 kinds…1 wide, 1 thin
– Hot glue gun
* I used stickers and an eraser that I found at the Dollar Tree
Step 1: Cut your pencils to the size of your cuff
I used a knike but you could use a saw, in fact it is easier than a knife
Step 2: I hot glued my wide ribbon on the top and underneath. This just helps the cuff feel more confortable while on your wrist. I used green ribbon I had on hand.
Step 3: Next, hot glue your pencils on. I glued 4 on and then tied my thin ribbon on. Repeat until you get all pencils on.
Step 4: Embellish. I used an eraser that says A+ and stickers to spell out teacher. I glued on a piece of felt so that the eraser would stay.
These are fun to make and your kids can help you. I think any teacher would love to sport this any day at school. Your ribbon colors could be the school colors as well.
My total cost for this bracelet was
$1 for pencils
$1 for erasers
total: $2
I had the ribbon, cuff, hot glue and stickers on hand from my craft stash.
