Winners of the Accessories Challenge

And the winners are…………………

This was a fun week! I am so inspired by your creative ways to create DIY Accessories.

Be sure to go through the links and find some inspriration for yourself.

Our guest judges Nat and Holly from My Sister’s Suitcase, had the most difficult job picking the winners.

Here is what they said about her judging experience.

Thanks for having us as judges this week! It was fun to look through the projects and get some great ideas for ourselves 🙂

Judge’s Comments are in italics.

#27 Faux Turquoise Jewelry from Craftberry Bush

Nat: I have never heard of making faux turquoise out of clay…but let me just say, it looks FABULOUS! I think this would be a fun project to do with a bunch of your girlfriends – split the cost for supplies and go for it!

Holly: I can’t get over this ingenious idea to create faux turquoise out of polymer clay!! These finished pieces from Lucy are exquisite. I would love to have one of them in my jewelry collection 🙂 The photography is beautiful as well. I always love her work. Thank you for sharing such an innovative project with all of us!

#22 Rustic Style Belt from Morning By Morning Productions

We LOVE these belts! Yup, there are two 🙂 But our think our favorite part about this post is how she rusted and distressed the metal rings herself. Awesome! (Just make sure to follow her directions carefully!)

#14 Knobby Necklace from Free Time Frolics

We love projects that take something beautiful {in this case a decorative cabinet knob} and repurpose it in a fabulous way! This “knobby” necklace by Adrienne is a perfect mix of vintage charm, modern colors, and a little quirkiness 🙂 We love how it turned out!

#10 Boys Fabric Wallet from Cherished Bliss

It is so refreshing to see a craft for the GUYS! We love everything about this project: the print of the fabric, the simplicity of the pattern, and the little grommet detail. Awesome tutorial, too!

#26 Rosette Necklace from Heart Break Kids

We love how Holly made her flowers interchangeable using pins. Hurry, you can whip some up for last-minute Mother’s Day gifts! (Or for yoursellf. We’re totally making some!)

#28 Bracelets Inspired by Handbags from Silly Pearl

What a great way to collect all your favorite designer “bags” without breaking the bank 🙂 Girls love their purses, and we adore how Steph used her shopping inspiration to create her own accessories!

#19 Braided Belt from Monkey See, Monkey Do

We love this orange braided belt from Jennifer! It is so stylish and looks pretty simple to make. {If it got a 2-year-old’s approval then you know it has to be good!}

# 12 Easy & Trendy Earrings from Catherine Marissa

We’ve seen several variations of painted earrings, but these ones from Catherine are one of our very favorites! We love her combination of turquoise and gold, so on trend! The texture of the “brass stampings” is really cool, we’ll have to look for some of these online. Gorgeous!

#25 Easy Headbands from  Morena’s Corner

The thing we loved about these headbands is how simple they are! {Not to mention, dang cute.} Most of us would have everything needed on hand to make these. I love the mini bows too, these would be so cute on our little girls. Okay Morena, you’ve convinced us, we’ve gotta have some of these!

#1 Kids Felt Flower Bracelet from Mostly Food and Crafts

We love that Jennifer got her daughter involved in this fun craft project! What a fun mother-daughter activity, and a darling accessory for any little girl!

#21 Wooden Bead Necklace from Our Family Journey

You had us at the yellow and gray combo 🙂 This wooden bead necklace is adorable, and a totally doable project (for those of us who are jewelry-making-challenged!) Great tutorial!

#30 Modge Podge Bracelet from Carolyn’s Homework

I love everything about this. The use of modge podge and this is a great tutorial. Thanks for linking up!!!

Can I simply say what a comfort to uncover somebody that really understands what they
are talking about over the internet. You certainly understand how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
A lot more people really need to read this and understand this side of the story.
It’s surprising you are not more popular because you definitely possess the gift.
