Winners of the Patriotic Challenge

This was a fun week! I am so inspired by your creative ways to DIY your own patriotic projects. With those patriotic holidays right around the corner, I hope you are inspired to create!

Be sure to go through the links and find some inspriration for yourself.

Our guest judge Vanessa, from See Vanessa Craft, had the most difficult job picking the winners.

Here is what she said about her judging experience.

Thank you so much to Dee for having me on the CSI Project as a guest judge. I’ve loved being inspired by everyone’s patriotic projects this week. I can’t wait to get my red, white and blue craft on now. I’m really not sure how I’m going to be able to narrow down my favorites to 10, because I’ve love them all, but I don’t think I’m allowed to have a top 40 list.

Judge’s Comments are in italics.

#12 Easy Patriotic Washi Tape Art from 52 Mantels

Besides my slight obsession with washi tape at the moment, I love how simple and creative this project is. I’m a big fan of projects that don’t take a ton of time to complete, but looks like you spent hours slaving over it. Also, did you see how amazing those frames are? I need those in my life.

#38 Patriotic Tulle Flag Wreath from A Night Owl

Love the flag design on this wreath, so creative! I’m a boy mom and any project that gives me the excuse to work with tulle is a winner in my book. Plus, I’ve made a tulle wreath before and I know how much work goes into it.

#15 Victory Wine Crate Herb Garden from Kaleidoscope Colors

This super cute project made my top 10 list because it incorporated 2 of my favorite things: wine and power tools. Enough said, right?

#2 New Glory His and Hers from The Creative Vault

This project made me want to have another child, just so I could make his & her outfits. These outfits win my “cutest project” award and you’d never know that they were made out of old grandpa pants!

#34 Stars and Stripes Pallet Sign from Poofy Cheeks

In the interest of full disclosure, Kelsey of Poofy Cheeks was actually my roommate at the SNAP blogging conference and I love her to death. BUT, roommate or not, her project totally deserves to be in my top 10. I wish I had some old pallet boards laying around so I could make this!

#32 US Map Wall Art from Morena’s Corner

This project gets my “most creative” award. I’m allowed to give out side awards, right? This blogger made this sign for her son’s car themed room and I think she did a fabulous job!

#1 Stars & Stripes Tie Dye from The Creative Vault

This is the second project on my list from The Creative Vault and I think I have a new favorite blog! These tie dye shirts would be absolutely perfect for the entire family to wear on the 4th of July. I’m adding this project to my to do list.

#4 No Sew Table Runner from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom

I love how easy this no sew table runner is to make (remember, I’m a fan of easy projects) and really adds so much to a table. Who knew that when I agreed to guest judge that I’d be adding 20 more projects to my to do list!

#31 4th Banner from LizzieJane Baby

Oh how I love me some paper accordion medallions! I actually have a similiar project in the works for the 4th of July, but I’m loving this blogger’s take on it. So pretty!

#23 Beadboard flag (PB knock-off) from Red Hen Home

Who doesn’t love a Pottery Barn knock-off! This sign is absolutely adorable and way cheaper than the original. Add this project to my crafty to do list too.

#24 Fireworks from Free Time Frolics

I love these and I love how simple these can be to make. Also, lovin’ the printable. I have a thing for them. A BIG thing! LOL
