Using wood is the perfect blank canvas for crafting. I love using recycled wood too. The new challenge of the week is creating with wood. I can’t wait to see your creations!
Here is one that I did for my own home using a scrap piece of wood in my yard.
This was my first Pottery Barn knock off and I think it is so cool!!!
I was inspired by the photo
I love the typewriter print. So, I wanted to re-create this look for my home, but in a thrifty way.
I spent $0…..not bad.
Here is what I did:
I took a piece of scrap wood
I traced my circles using a cup and then laid down my letters using stencils.
You can paint on your letters or use a wood burning tool, which is what I did.
After I did that I painted around each circle. I like the look of black and looks very Pottery Barn-ish.
I found a place for my creation on a shelf on my Family Wall. I love it and it describes that family that lives in this house.
Family of 6. Together we make a family! The biggest blessing in my life.
And the best part about this project is I spent $0, nada, nothing, zero!!!
I hope this week you will be inspired by the tutorials that we have each day. I hope you will come back and link up your own projects so you can inspire others too. That is what makes the CSI Project so great. YOU have the opportunity to stretch your creative muscles by challenging yourself each week and YOU inspire others.
Create, Share and Inspire!
