We are big fans of orange creamsicles in my house, so I thought it would be fun to make our own as a push pop! These tangy, creamy treats are easy to make and perfect for those hot summer days!
On my blog, Morena’s Corner, I like to focus on projects that are fast and frugal, yet still fabulous! This treat fits the bill, and it’s something the little ones can help make, too!
For this project you’ll need:
8 oz. cool whip, thawed in the refrigerator
8 oz. coconut milk
1 packet orange gelatin
You can tweak the amounts to suit your taste. The orange flavor is strong and sweet, so add less of the gelatin packet if you desire. I had attempted this project with fresh orange juice the first time, and it came out too icy while I wanted a creamy consistency, which the gelatin maintained.
I thawed the cool whip in the fridge, then poured in the coconut milk and the gelatin packet granules. I (and my kids) mixed it with a whisk. Then we used poured the mixture into our push pop containers.
I put the containers (minus the stick) in a loaf pan. I add the stick when I serve the pops.
This recipe made 9-10 orange dreamsicle pops.
My teething ten month old loves them!
Thank you for letting me share my summer treat idea with you. I hope you’ll visit my corner to learn more!
~ Thank you, Morena! I love how you put these in Push Up pops. So cute and look tasty.
