The CSI Chic Chronicles{Blogger Conference and a giveaway!!!!}

Hello everybody! Back to School week was so fun and the projects you linked up are so inspirational! I have to make a CSI pick and it is so hard. I had a great time at the Michael’s Blogger Conference and I wanted to give you an inside look at all of the products coming out this fall. The entire Michael’s PR team and creative design team were fabulous hosts. We crafted with Jo Pearson and her team.  Jo also gave us an insiders perspective on her crafty life and what it is like being a judge on TLC’s Craft Wars.

Then, we got to see all of the Michael’s brands and the newest products they have. Also, I got to see the holiday craft ideas. This was my favorite part. I got so many decorating ideas for Halloween and Christmas.

It was so fun and now I want to take you on a tour of what I saw.

You know that $1 aisle in Michael’s. How great is it? These are called impulse items and we got a sneak peek of what is coming to those aisles.

They had these great gift baskets made with using just $1 items. So great! Who knew?

I love to Create had this great booth. The bottom spinned and paint would fall down onto the items. Kind of like tie dye art.

I also loved Krylon’s booth. They have 3 new colors coming out in the glitter spray paint. I am a sucker for that stuff so I asked.

These frames were painted in one of the new colors. Love it! Need to buy it!

These are painted ornaments. Love that idea!

Then, we got to see the new decor in action. Michael’s decorated 3 Christmas rooms and they did a great job. One was traditional, one was for kids and one was a dining room which made me drool. I have to have a white and silver Christmas dinner this year.

Just take a moment to take it all in.

I loved these DIY antlers. I wanted to pin them but realized real life doesn’t work that way. But I will make these.

The Martha Stewart line of glass paints was amazing to see as well.

ArtMinds had a cute booth that made me want to stop right there and craft.

Finally, the Recollections booth had these cute pumpkins they decorated. I loved this display and want to make these too!

Before we went to into the exhibit hall, Michaels showed us their MiDesign, online photo design. You can create photo cards, books and calendars. You create it, they ship to you or pick up in the store. I did not know they did this. They even do scrapbook pages for you.

From now until August 29th, YOU can get 30% off your order by using this code at check out Blogger30.

As I said before, the generous people at Michael’s sent me home with so many amazing products. It was craft heaven but I don’t want to keep it all for myself so I am giving {1} Lucky CSI Reader a box of goodies!

You will get all of this:

It is a collection of everything. Mod Podge from Plaid, glitter from ArtMinds, kids crafts from Creatology, Martha Stewart glass painting tools, new felt designs, glitter paint and 2 pairs of scissors from Westcott. These scissors are wonderful.

So, who wants to win!!! I will box it all up and ship to you!

This giveaway is easy to enter. Simply tell me your favorite Michael’s shopping experience. Maybe it was when you found a great deal and you made something beautiful for your home.

My favorite day was when we went Thanksgiving day and bought the brand new Cricut. I was still looking for it and Mr. CSI had already bought it and took it to the car.

What a great day!

Tell me your Michael’s story and I will select a winner using random.org!

You have until Sunday night, August 19th at 7 pm MST.

I can’t wait to find a home for all of these amazing products.

Will it be your home?

After meeting the people behind the Michael’s store I now see that they are not only working for the company but they are passionate about creating and crafting. They live out what The CSI Project is all about.

Jo Pearson and her amazing team Create. They Share it with all of us and therefore they Inspire us. The brands that you see in the Michael’s stores are trying to create products that will help us reach our crafting goals and make those beautiful projects that we love.

We can all be artists, crafters and creators in our own unique ways and I was reminded of this while being at the Michael’s Conference. I was surrounded by craft bloggers who inspire me to keep doing what I love to do. That, of course, is to craft and create this crafting community and to help crafting become more than that. I want to make crafting a conversation.

Thank you all for supporting The CSI Project and together we can Create. Share. Inspire one another and create this community that well all love.

I am dedicated to doing that and I invite you to come along with me.

Happy entering and have a great weekend!
