Super Hero Armor{The CSI Girl}

Hi everyone, this is Dee, your CSI Girl.

Welcome back to Glitter Week! I absolutely love glitter and cannot wait to see all of your glitter projects this week. I already have a board on Pinterest ready to go called, “My favorite color is glitter.” So, link up and I will get to pinning!

When I went to the Michae’s conference recently, I was introduced to the new Art Minds Glitter Paint. This is perfect for kids and looks great!

Since it is glitter week, I wanted to try the paint out so I came up with a kids craft but there was a problem.

1) My kids are too old for this craft.

2) My kids are also in school during the day hence the too old part

So, I suddenly became sad that they are and threw myself a pity party. Then, had to grieve and grieve because one of them is now living in a dorm room on a big college campus. Oh, woe is me!

Well, you get the picture. But then it occured to me, I have great friends with super cute younger kids. So, I rented some kids for the afternoon and we crafted.

Mission Accomplished: Super Hero Armor

Supplies:

I kept the supplies easy and made with stuff you most likely have at home.

~ paper towel or toilet paper rolls

~ Glitter Paint or (glitter and paint separately)

~ Paint brushes

~ decorative paper

~Scissors

~possibly glue

Step 1

Cut the rolls down the middle and measure how far up you want it to go on your child’s arm.

Step 2

Step back and let the kids paint them with the glitter paint. This was the fun part.

Now, let it dry!

We also had a super hero princess so hers was pink.

Step 3

After they have dried, play around a bit. They can also be telescopes.

Just kidding! Step 3 is to decorate the armor. I bought shiny scrapbook paper that is peel and stick so no glue needed but you can use any embellishments.

Now, let them show off their Super Hero Armor and run around your house.

These were so fun to make and very expensive for your kids to play with and destroy because you know they will but what fun they will have playing! That is all that matters after all!

And since they are my rent a kids for a day, I sent them home to play.

Be sure to look for Art Minds washable glitter paint in the Michael’s store this fall.

It is coming soon to a store near you!

Come on back tonight because you guessed it,

It will be time for you to link up your glitter projects.
