Can you believe it? It seems to have gone so fast. I need to finish wrapping, mail out some gifts and prepare for our Christmas meal.
As we countdown to Christmas and tie up the loose ends, how do you countdown? Is it a family thing?
Maybe an Advent Calendar?
This one from Rhea Lana’s is a cutie! Love the tins!
Love this bucket idea from The Feminist Housewife too!
This would be super cute with chalkboard paint.
In the CSI House, we do a Christmas book countdown. Each day is a new book and the last day, Christmas Eve, we read, The Night Before Christmas. We started our countdown with our Elf on the Shelf book and our Elf, Muffin emerged.
I mix in traditional Christmas books and some religious one. I wrap each book and each day they unwrap one and we read it.
Here is a great list of books to help you out from Clean and Scentsible.
I cannot wait to see what you have crafted up for this challenge. The countdown and build up to Christmas can be just as fun as the actual day. It also helps give your kids a visual as they impatiently wait. When they ask you for the hundredth time, “How many days?” You can simply direct them to your advent calendar, DIY countdown or whatever tradition you have.
What will you link up this week?
As always this week we will have 3 awesome tutorials for you and then the challenge is on. You know what to do!
As always, here is the schedule for the week!
On Monday, the 17th,
I will be among many bloggers who will have a day of silence in memory of the victims lost last week in Newtown, CT.
