Winners of the Sewing Challenge


This was a fun week and I was so inspired by your  sewing projects. You all amazed me by your talent this week! Blew me away!!!

Our guest judge, Becky from Patchwork Posse, had the most difficult job picking the winners. I think she did a great job!

 #21 DIY Patchwork Pillow from Smart Girl Style

It can be sewn with smaller pieces of your favorite fabric.  I love the additional stitching on the edges of the blocks, and even in red! This method lets you not worry about what size they should be, perfect matching edges…ect.  Piping on the outside edges are a great addition to make them more professional looking and using your previous pillows as templates for the size is a great way to ensure that the finished pillow is just what you wanted.  Great job!

This is a great idea to showcase the United States and use little bits of fabric.  You could even do this as an eye spy.

I love the different and bizzare.  This is a great one!  Go for your idea, draft it out and finish it into a great pillow that will definitly start some conversations.
