This week we are celebrating dear ole’ Dad, grandpa’s, husbands, step dad’s and uncles who are like dad’s.
phew…..that is a lot but they all deserve our love!
I am, of course, celebrating Mr. CSI. I would describe him as the silly dad. The one always doing silly things like dancing around in the living room because we love our dance parties and there never has to be a special occasion.
He tells the silliest bed time stories and is always making up silly songs! He also thinks doing hand stands everywhere we travel to is fun! Then, he sends them to his little sister who gets a kick out of it! Silly runs in the family!
I just LOVE him for his silliness and also for being a great man. I am so proud to call him mine and I know 4 kids who are too!
Every year the question is, how do you make “DAD” feel special? How about make him a retro themed dinner and these soda pops I decorated are perfect!
I went to the store and bought Fanta in bottles. I love the look of bottles and that seems retro to me.
I found some retro labels a couple of years ago and mod podged them right on the bottles. Easy, easy, right?
Then, I kept this cardboard carrier from McDonalds. Yes, it was from a visit to McDonaldās for some yummy fudge chocolate sundaeās. And thrifty dessert, they are just $1. It is a quick and easy date night for me and Mr. CSI and it is a tradition.
I got to painting this beauty and added my own art to it. I used freezer paper stencils to write out āSoda Pop for āpopā. I also painted dots on it. Just to add some fun to it!!!
Now, before everyone grabs their soda to drink, this is a cool way to display soda pop for āpopā. It is all about presentation.
So, raise your bottle and let’s toast to “Pop”…….
You are a cool dude. You always take care of us and take the trash out too!
Around here, WE all love you!
