Welcome back to another crafty week!
How many of you love thrifting?
You know searching the racks for a shirt to refashion or going down the decor aisles searching for that perfect piece to spray paint.
Or seeing that perfect piece of furniture to paint or stain.
You know you love it and YES, thrifting is totally an acceptable verb to use.
If you love thrift stores, thrifting and taking home your treasures to transform them. Then, this challenge is for you!
Recently, I found the cutest frog at the thrift store. He had a few dings and scratches but he was a wooden frog just wanting a new home.
Meet Mr. Frog, before and after.
I decided to make him into a welcome sign for my front porch.
You know, to say “Welcome to our pad.”
{snicker}
I took wood letters and used them for the welcome but decided to stencil on the other words. I also decided he needed a blue bow tie. A little paint fixes that. Easy, right?
I just think he is adorable!
What should his name be?
* Kermie
* Yoda
* Bubba
This cute frog now has a new purpose. He greets all who come up to our door and welcomes them to our pad!
What have you transformed from the thrift store?
We cannot wait to see what thrift store treasures you have transformed.
If you made it and it is from something you found at a thrift store, then share it!
This week we also have another fabulous guest judge so come on over and join the fun!
Challenge yourself and stretch those creative muscles!
Always remember to Create, Share and Inspire!
Let’s get this challenge started!
