DIY Candy Jar

IMG_1291

Recently, I needed a quick gift for  friend who loves candy and usually has a stash hidden away. She loves anything blingy so I had an idea.

This is an easy and inexpensive way to create your own candy jar.

Just get a flower pot of any size. You will need the bottom of a flower pot too and a glass jar.

Paint as you wish.

Use a strong glue to glue on the glass to the pot.

There are several brands to buy. I let mine dry overnight before I added the embellishments.

I then added some 3d stickers for decoration.

My goal was to create a grown up, elegant candy jar.

I think I accomplished my goal.

Flower pot, glass far, 3d stickers and bling all found at Michael’s.

Funny story though.

I added some of this chocolate.

60% Extra Dark Chocolate LINDOR Truffles 75-pc Bag

This is her favorite but the problem was……….

it is summer. And it is Arizona. So, by the time I reached her place, the chocolate was melting.

Nothing says, “Happy Birthday,” like melted chocolate all over the glass in the summer heat.

But the moral of this story is at least the candy jar was Pretty and grown up, elegant chic!

P.S. She LOVED it!!!!
