Thanksgiving has become one of my favorite holidays to decorate for and to celebrate. I love it because it isn’t about gifts or other things that distract us. It is about eating, spending the day with family and setting a beautiful table to eat at. I also love the cooking part of it. It is a lot of work but I find joy cooking for my family on this day.
This year, for my Thanksgiving table I decided to create a White and Gold table with a pop of pink. I also used items inspired by nature. After a trip to Michael’s, I got started. This table is a mix of items I already had and some new items.
Every year, I go with the traditional Thanksgiving/fall colors so I knew gold and white would be a good change. Then, after realizing I needed a pop of something else, pink was the unexpected inspiration.
I tried to use wood birch items and nature as inspiration too.
You can find the birch wood at Michael’s. The gold votives and magnolia leaves are from The Dollar Tree. The glasses are from Dollar Tree as well and I think they are beautiful.
All of the chalkboards are from Michael’s. I used a paint pen to write on them.
Love the chalkboards and I also used one at at each place setting for names.
I wanted to also add some glitter and glam to the table setting especially since I kept the plates and napkins so simple. So, I found these glitter pine cones at The Dollar Tree and thought they were perfect, They are actually Christmas ornaments.
The centerpiece of the entire table was the inspiration. I had 2 wood pieces that I stained. I added white pumpkins from Michael’s and some wheat also found at Michael’s.
I just love my table and I am ready to start planning my Thanksgiving meal. For the items I used, be sure to swing by your local Michael’s store, Dollar Tree and be inspired by items you already have as well.
Always remember to Create, Share and Inspire!
