Awww……..the slow cooker!
Busy weeknights hero!!!
With just 5 ingredients, you have a dinner cooking all day.
Be sure, before you add all of the ingredients pictured that you add 1/2 cup of water to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Now, add the roast, ranch dressing, au jus gravy packet and a stick of butter. I cut mine in pieces but you can just lay on top. Add about 5 pepperonchini’s and you are done!
Set to cook for 8 hours and walk away.
About half way through, I added sliced onions.
Then, remove the peppers before you slice up the roast to serve. The gravy is kind of salty so no need to add salt after cutting. Serve in the gravy.
But wait……..you need a side dish and I have a suggestion.
Dice up red potatoes and marinate all day in Italian dressing.
I use the dry kind and add oil. Put in a zip lock bag and refrigerate all day or a few hours.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
I also fixed a Pear salad and made rolls.
