Duct Tape Pumpkin

When I was a kid, duct tape was something you saw on your dad’s work bench in the garage. He would pull it out to make repairs in the home or even when your shoes started to wear thin.

Ok, maybe not but I did see that in a college class. A fellow student {GUY} had his shoes duct taped because he liked them and didn’t want to buy new ones. Poor college student, probably but hey, it worked. Bless his heart, but good comfy shoes take years to break in.

 I even saw a guy {also in college} duct tape the spine of his Bible.

The moral to this blog post is duct tape is awesome! From shoes to Bibles and now crafts.

I was so excited to see Duck Brand duct tape in sheets at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store one day. I like crafting with duct tape but sometimes it is hard to manage. But sheets, would make it so much easier.

You can also buy the sheets online. Link below {affiliate link}

While perusing JoAnn’s, I also spied a wooden pumpkin and had to have it! Combine the duct tape sheets and the pumpkin, I knew I had a project. You see my love for leopard print also goes into my home décor. I just can’t help myself.

This project was so easy. I covered the areas that I wanted covered in duct tape and cut out. Applied it on the pumpkin. So much easier than the roll!

Then, I painted. I also used wooden circles that I had and just applied the duct tape on them. They made the cutest dots!

Of course, you need to accessorize the pumpkin so I tied raffia around the stem and added the cutest sunflower. Sunflowers = FALL in my book! Leopard print is for all year round!

I love this little pumpkin and I love that you can find unfinished wood at craft stores. Take them home and create your own beauty!
