It is the last day for a crafty tutorial using Oly material! Katie, our DIY Blog Editor is bringing us the cutest Candy Corn Wreath. We just adore Katie and we know you will too!
We were provided Oly Material from our sponsor this week
Hi again friends! Katie, from Tied Ribbon, here again with another festive DIY that I’m obsessed with. I found a new favorite material and if you are any type of crafter, you need this in your stash.
Oly material is kind of like a stiffer, textured fabric & it’s perfect to create this full wreath with. Grab some in orange, yellow & white & get a white foam board for a sturdy base.
Cut your squares, mine were about 4×4 inches & you’ll need at least 100 of orange & yellow if you’re making a wreath as big as this one. Then very scientifically & mathematically,
trace & cut your wreath shape. (I say that jokingly because my make-shift compass failed me.)
Now, working one square at a time, grab the center of the square allowing the rest to gather then either hot glue, or staple to the board. I ended up stapling them on by opening the stapler and smacking it into the foam board….less burns that way!
I just LOVE how full and thick the Oly material makes this, and it makes such a statement!
So go make one! And then follow along at Tied Ribbon for plenty more Halloween & fall DIYs!
Thanks Katie! Super cute and so creative!
