I love changing my table for holidays and that usually means for a special dinner.
So, I like to use some of the same basic items each time and add in special ones for that particular holiday but no matter what I always make it simple. Easy, no fuss because holiday decorating should never stress you out.
Start off with table cloths if you wish. I just chose simple white ones for this table. This table also was inspired by a Valentine Banner I picked up from Michael’s. It was on sale and I loved the glitter hearts on burlap so how could I ever resist it?
Then, I grabbed 2 small jars that I like to put flowers in and my favorite wood candlesticks. I draped the banner across the table and it was perfect.
Red roses were added. Of course, nothing says love better than red roses.
Now, for the place setting. Keep it easy and inexpensive.
I started with gold chargers. Then, added some plates that I got from Target a few years ago. Then a smaller red plate from Home Goods.
For the linens, I always want to dress them up a bit. Especially plain white linens.
So, in an easy, no fuss style, I took some cupcake picks that I had in my pantry. Wrapped ribbon around the napkin and the pick.
Done. You can even write names on there for place cards.
For the glasses, I grabbed my favorite pretty ones and for charm, I added cute pink, polka dot straws.
How easy is this table and I used everything I already had at home so that is definitely no fuss!
I found this cute sign at The Dollar Tree and added it hanging down on the table.
When creating a table for a special dinner or party, don’t stress. Keep it simple and use what you have. Shop on a budget and I promise you can find some beautiful pieces to decorate with. It is all about the place settings so pick beautiful dishes. I like to shop at Home Goods for dishes. They have a great selection.
Build layer upon layer starting with the table cloths and soon you will have a beautiful table for any holiday or special occasion.
How are you celebrating LOVE this year?
Always remember to Create, Share and Inspire!
