Card Holder Upcycle

Now that it is the Christmas season, I know you have some wrapping paper laying around.

Why not use it to craft with? The thicker wrapping paper works better for crafts.

At a Goodwill store in San Diego, I spotted this. I love the huge paper clip look!

For $1.99, I grabbed it and thought it would be a cute photo holder. When Christmas came around and I still hadn’t used it, I thought it would make a cute card holder or photos too.

I painted it white and used Mod Podge to put on the wrapping paper.

I used a card from roughly 1953. My dad was a child when his father passed away. He was sick, bed ridden after my dad was born so my grandmother gave him cards and gifts from my dad every holiday until he passed away. She kept all of them so now I have vintage cards for every holiday that I treasure.

At Michael’s, you can find the Merry and Bright Christmas collection and it has a retro vintage look about it. So, I created a little nook in my living room.

Isn’t all so cute? Merry and bright for sure and a little retro.

My Card Holder Upcycle is the perfect Christmas addition to my decor this year.

This Christmas season keep your decor a little retro, a little vintage and a little merry and bright!
