It was so hard to choose just a top 10! There were so many wonderful ideas- thank you all for sharing! I now have a wonderful list of projects and activities I can do with my kids this summer!Cassie chose an overall winner from the challenge, as well as her top ten favorite projects. We’ve included her sweet comments about each one. Let’s see which projects were Cassie’s top picks….. My overall pick is #1, the Tree House by Three Pixie Lane: What kid would not LOVE to hang out in this treehouse with friends in the summer. It looks like a great place to read, share secrets, and discover nature.
#95 Summer Hanging Baskets from Choose to Thrive - I am going to have to make some of these little baskets. Not only are they adorable, but they also use recycled materials, which I love.
#81 Pinwheel Garland from Hoosier Homemade – I love how colorful and happy this garland is! It’s a great take on the ever so popular bunting.
#65 Summer Art Print from The Ariel Rose Blog – Who doesn’t love a free printable? And this one is adorable, with a fabulous swedish proverb. I downloaded it and will be placing it in my home!
#50 Summer Sand Cake from I Am Momma Hear Me Roar – This will most certainly appeal to the masses of children… it looks cool (I know I ate my fair share of sand as a child!), is served in a bucket, and sounds like it tastes fantastic!
#28 Rainbow Pudding Pops from Random Thoughts of a Supermom - Another idea that will please the kids! Going to have to make these with my kiddos this summer!
#14 Seersucker Pouches from That’s My Letter - I love these little pouches! I am always tossing sunblock into my giant beach bag and it inevitable gets lost or leaks at the bottom. This would help keep it safe, and is supercute, too!
#20 Summer Rosette Clutch from Scissors and Spatulas – I am a big tank and jeans girl, and this would be the perfect accessory to add a splash of color and take a plain outfit up a notch.
#26 Summer Mantel from Finding Home - I do not have a mantel in my home, but if I did, I would want it to look like this. Now. The colors and textures are so pretty!
#83 Lemonade Stand from Just Pleased As Punch – How can you say no to lemonade when a kid has a stand as cute as this? I mean, really? You can’t. That’s how.
#52 Two Tiered Planter from The Sweet Survival – I love this idea! I love planters, but the big urns are pricey. This project is a great way to give some height to your planters within a reasonable budget. I would love to make some and have some vines cascading down from the top!
Let’s take a look at the projects that caught the eyes of our own CSI Girls….
#79 Baseboard Sign from Craftberry Bush
#72 Summer Fun on Wheels from High Heels and a Hammer
