So, are you living life in the chic lane?
The CSI Chic Chronicles is all about inspiring one another to live our lives in the chic lane
You know how it is from week to week trying to plan all of those meals for your family and not to mention going to the store to buy all of the grocieries. It’s overwhelming just to type all of that. I always get bogged down by feeling like I make the same things from week to week and I offer no variety for my family.
I remember seeing my mom make her lists and her biggest complaint was variety, feeling like she was making the same meals over and over. Well, as a kid, I felt she was just cokking the same things over and over.
Hence, why I do not want meatloaf EVER.
But as an adult and mom, I can now see what she what she was talking about. The cycle continues.
I wish my mom would have had E-mealz because I have a membership and all I can say is I love it. So, maybe with the help of E-mealz I am breaking this cycle.
What is E-mealz? Oh, I must tell you. E-mealz is an online meal planning service, that offers menu planning and even gives you the list of items you need to make the meals. Genious, I know.
Jane DeLaney, mother of four, and Jenny Cochran, mother of three are sisters that were frustrated by the challenge of coming up with healthy, budget-conscious meals for their own families and inspired by their own mother’s frugal ways, they launched the program in 2003. These sisters believe that we all fall under these 2 categories when it comes to our dinner time traditions or the lack of:
1) Those who did not grow up with family dinnertime and therefore don’t have a vision for what it can be, or
2) Those who did grow up with family dinnertime, but since current lifestyles are so busy and fragmented, struggle to duplicate their childhood experience and pull it off for their own families.
So true! So that is why E-mealz is so brilliant and I believe can help anyone prepare dinner on a daily basis. Which makes living in the chic lane, even easier!
They have over 20 menu plans for a family ranging from 2-6 based on options that include low carb, low fat, point system, and vegetarian as well as different grocery stores and mass retailers. This way they can help families save money based on weekly sales at their chosen grocery store. They even have gluten free and holiday themed meal packets!
