Yellow Valentine Mantel

When yellow is your favorite color and not a traditional Valentine color, you throw out the decorating rule book and do what YOU want!

It all started with my thrift store art with a lovey dovey phrase. You can see it here.

I love that you can see the yellow in the original painting coming through. So, I added even more pops of yellow to create Valentine Mantel decor.

I love the look of empty frames grouped together and they will transition into a spring mantel too. I also found this burlap banner at Hobby Lobby and painted the heart yellow. It was red. Also, picked up the wood conversation hearts there. Added flowers and created the LOVE art using wood love signs from Dollar Tree.

I bought 6 wood signs to make 2.

Painted them white and glued 3 together. Easy! You could also use 4 for more of a square look.

Think outside the box when it comes to choosing colors for holidays. If you love a color but it isn’t traditional, don’t worry. Decorate how you want. I also love that this mantel will transition into spring.

Have a lovely Valentine’s Day and celebrate it in YOUR own way! Throw out the rule book!

Always remember to Create.Share.Inspire!
