Hello crafty friends!
I am still loving my beach life for a month in beautiful Hawaii
and I am loving SUMMER!
We have had adventure, fun in the sun, lots of beach time and culture. When you are here for a while you really get a good sense of the Hawaiian culture and feel like a local. This trip to Hawaii, I have learned what the spirit of Aloha truly means more than any other trip that I have taken here.
Aloha: The joyful sharing of life energy in the present
or simply Joyfully sharing life
It is beautiful and I feel a sense of renewal about my own life. To live with joy and live in the moment.
Of course, you know I live to Create, share and Inspire so now I just add with Aloha!
Back t0 crafts and summer……………
You may remember my Summer Watermelon Art.
And my Be YOU tiful Summer sign
Of course, I had to take my summer decorating to my front porch. An undecorated porch just makes me sad. I love door couture aka Wreaths and I love to create spaces that represent the seasons and create a fun space to relax in. So, here is my Summer Front Porch. Aloha!
This space is all ready for a good friend, a summer drink and a long talk.
I made the letters a couple of summer’s ago and got the Lemonade platter and glasses at Michael’s.
That super cute flip flop pillow also was a Michael’s find . I love it!
I kept the tin pails up from my Spring Porch. Added my summer bead board sign that I made a few years ago. I love the greeting.
Take your flip flops off and stay awhile!
The cute Flip Flop hanger was another Michael’s goodie!
This year, I found this cute wicker shelf unit at the Thrift store. I decided that it belonged on my porch to hold some treasures.
On top, I have blocks I made with left over wood. Easy stenciled on letters.
And I have a summer sign that one of the CSI kids made. It is a treasure of mine. I put her age and the year she made it on the back so that each year I will smile remembering her at that age.
They grow up too fast! But I love that I will always have these sweet treasures! One of my favorite ways to decorate is with things that mean something to me whether that is the kids, my husband, my mom and the stuff I have inherited from my grandparents. It is all in my home and that makes me so happy!
I can’t forget my Flip Flop Wreath! I just adore it!
Door Couture!!!!
Love, love, love!
I would like to offer you some lemonade, sit on the porch and have a good ole’ fashioned talk but since we are only virtual friends and neighbors, I will just say, Have a great summer! Decorate for it! Love it! Make memories!!!!
Always remember to Create, Share and Inspire!
